Votion produces its Bio-Oil through a proprietary Green Cooking and Cleaning process — inspired by kraft pulp mill cooking but reimagined for renewable oil. This breakthrough approach not only yields clean, stable Bio-Oil but also valuable co-products like potassium fertilizers.

The first step is the mild cooking, similar to pulp mills’ cooking of woodchips but using harsher conditions to liquefy 100 % of the input biomass. Regardless of biogenic waste or residue everything becomes a fluid liquid after the cooking.
It is a low CAPEX and OPEX process, feedstock flexible, and yields high-purity products.
- Recycled wood, furniture, construction materials, panels, board, and paper
- Bagasse, corn stover, grass, rice husk, straw, stalks, DDGS, and wheat husk
- Bark, sawdust, wood chips, logging residues, and short rotation coppice
- Kraft lignin, hydrolysis lignin, and other lignin sources
- Tall Oil Pitch and other biooils containing inorganics
- Empty Fruit Bunches, olive pomace, coconut husk, nutshells, and other fruit residues
100 % of these raw materials will become liquid – fluid liquid after the cooking step, then cleaned into high-quality Bio-Oil ready for hydrotreating in oil refineries or HEFA plants.
